Day 1

I've been eating fresh raw fruits / for two days before entering vegetables fasting to cleanse my colon (which is kind of a requirement if you do a water fast more than 3 days)water and weight loss. The biggest problem with water fasting will probably be your own mind. You need to spend the first days of negotiation with hunger and cravings and hunger after finally gone, the levels of fatigue and lack of energy set in. Most people I know do not even be able to pass through first two days of the preparations pre - fasting. To fast forward a stress-free environment (perhaps out of work and others) will not help much, because it also means that you have a lot of extra free time (think food). I can understand that most people are totally unprepared to handle the psychological aspect of refraining from eating, and I'm exactly the same in the past. Fortunately, the management of the mental part of water fasting (or any other dietary restriction) is not something you have or do not have, but it is a skill that can be learned.
